Liz is co-founder and Senior Managing Partner of ProHatch, a digital alternative capital and advisory services marketplace for private investment in real estate, operating company and non-profit programs. For over 35 years, Liz has been a recognized business leader and entrepreneur, creating strategic financial and operating value for institutional and private enterprise. With an extensive history of direct principal investment, executive corporate leadership, and global advisory experience, Liz has contributed deep qualitative and quantitative insight to the financial and corporate re/engineering of over $100B of global public and private real estate portfolio and operating company interests.
Her extensive work with domestic and international corporations, public and private investors, and US & foreign governments in such diverse markets as the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, and the MENA region provides Liz with a unique context for understanding and solving the financial and social complexities of capitalizing and managing start-up, growth, transformation and restructuring in rapidly changing domestic and global markets. This enables her to delineate innovative multiple bottom line solutions and risk-based strategic approaches to structuring mergers & acquisitions, public/private financing, entity and asset restructuring, partnerships/joint ventures and other multi-faceted business/financial transactions.
Most recently, Liz served as Senior Managing Director & Co-Head Global Real Estate Practice with FTI Consulting, where she was instrumental in developing and executing the practice’s strategic plan to establish a global footprint and integrated strategic real estate solutions platform to focus on crisis management, large scale master planned public private partnerships and institutional capital formation. Working directly with the client’s senior management teams, Liz’s innovative financial, development, and social solutions were instrumental to establishing viable economic development and investment plans for the historic City of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the new cities of Al Wahda and Al Fateh in Egypt. Liz also led the restructuring of numerous iconic real estate operating companies during the recent financial crisis, including Landsource, RESCAP, and GGP among others.
An expert in optimizing value in real estate operating companies and investment portfolios, Liz has held leadership roles with Aetna Realty Investors, BGK, Inc., Glenborough REIT, and Grubb & Ellis. During her tenure with G&E, Liz worked with the CEO to develop and execute the company’s strategic optimization plan and reposition the company for sale. She was instrumental to developing the company’s comprehensive global services model and underlying technology platform, and to expanding G&E’s geographic reach to Europe, Mexico and Canada. G&E’s globally integrated consulting, transactions and facilities management service model is often cited as the real estate industry’s first commercially integrated service platform; and remains the standard for today’s brokerage firms.
Liz received her B.A. in Economics from Trinity College, Hartford, CT and is a sought after speaker, commentator and author. She is currently a Board Advisor to several innovative business, social impact, and technology companies focused on education, business connectivity, and predictive analytics.
